Trust Accounting Income: When "Income" isn't Income. Or is it?
The presentation will focus on the following subject areas of interest to attorneys, accountants, trustees, investment advisors, and others actively involved in advising clients with respect to the creation and operation of trusts: Trust Accounting Income, Types of Trusts, Taxation of Trusts, Problem Areas, Avoiding “Oopsies,” and Impact of 2017 Tax Legislation.
Learning Objective for CFP Board: Participants will learn how trust language and Washington’s Principal & Income Act operate to determine the amount of cash flow that a trust beneficiary may receive from a trust along with the related income tax consequences of distributions to both the trust and the beneficiary.
